*Adaptive participants may indicate their desire to be placed in the adaptive division for award purposes. The adaptive division welcomes any participant with a physical, intellectual, or visual impairment that impacts the participant’s ability to ambulate and/or participate in the activity of walking/running. The Carver College of Medicine partners with physical therapy students to provide support to participants in the adaptive division.

RACE AWARDS

Trophies will be awarded to the overall M/F division winners. From there, medals will be awarded to all finishers in the M/F adaptive divisions as well as the top three finishers in the following M/F age divisions: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and older. Overall male and female division winners are removed from their respective age categories and are not eligible for age-specific medals. For instance, if the overall male winner is 26 years of age, he will receive the overall race trophy, and the first-place medal in the 25-29 age division will go to the next participant in this category. If a participant does not identify as male or female, the Doc Dash team can accommodate additional finishing medal requests so long as such a sign-up occurs by March 24, 2023.

In addition to individual awards, a plaque will be awarded to the UIHC department that secures the highest number of registrations.
